This is the grand European express, rebuilt in brick at flagship scale. A 231-class Pacific steam locomotive leads the rake in deep green livery, red connecting rods driving the wheels, headlamps mounted across the smokebox front, and a full tender coupled behind, then the passenger carriages stretch out for well over a metre of finished train.

It runs, and it runs properly. Two XL motors driven by a Blade 4.0 high-speed module send the locomotive forward and back along the included R104 large-radius track, controlled from the 2.4G remote or from your phone through the app. The wide curve radius means the long rake takes the bends the way a real express does, without the compressed look of a tight loop.

The detail is where this set earns its size. The tender opens up to show the mechanical structure inside. Every carriage door opens onto a fully fitted vintage interior, bench seating, a dining car with table lamps, luggage racks, and the driver's cab is built out behind the boiler. Even the coupling structure between cars is modelled rather than simplified.

With 4,314 pieces, this is a flagship build for experienced hands and a genuine centrepiece once it's done. The train alone measures about 138.5 cm end to end, and the assembled track loop spans 172.8 x 172.8 cm, so plan for a large table, a display shelf run, or a dedicated layout space.
